Step 1
Use the pistols in close range. These weapons are not known for their accuracy, so they are best used against enemies in close range. The hand-cannon-class weapons, like the Desert Eagle and 1911, are especially prone to inaccuracy at a distance.
-
Step 2
Be conservative with your ammunition. Pistols are not the most popular guns to use in the game, so ammo is far less abundant than it is for the larger weapons like the SMG or shotgun. Use what you have wisely.
-
Step 3
Take your time. Though the pistols will shoot rather rapidly in Call of Duty 3, the kickback from the guns will cause your targeting to get steadily higher with each shot. If you shoot like a madman, most of your precious ammo will wind up in the clouds, so take careful aim before firing.
-
Step 4
Time your attacks carefully to force more frequent replacement pistol drops. Most of your enemies will prefer to use larger weapons, so finding a new pistol to use in Call of Duty 3 can be a challenge. However, if you time your attacks carefully to hit during a reload, you may be able to force the enemy to draw a pistol in order to protect himself, which you can then pluck from his hands to keep for yourself.

Step 5
Look for maps that provide benefits to using smaller guns. For example, the Cargo Ship Run during the F.N.G. mission is a great time to use pistols, since they will help you get a higher accuracy bonus than a larger gun like the MP5. With a higher accuracy bonus, you can get through the map faster, opening up the possibility of winning the Achievement bonus for completing the map in less than 20 seconds.
