Things You'll Need:
- Styling gel
- Foaming pomade
-
Step 1
Get McConaughey's wavy, slightly mussed hair by asking your stylist for a contoured cut with full sides that extend slightly below the ears and a gently tapered neckline. The front should be cut shorter than the sides so you can push it to one side without adding a distinct part. Keep those sexy sideburns, which help to emphasize McConaughey's high cheekbones.
-
Step 2
Apply a small amount of gel to damp hair, and complete your style by finger-combing a dollop of Paul Mitchell Foaming Pommade through it to add shine and texture. Matt's style works best for those with naturally curly hair and a rectangular face shape.
-
Step 3
Go au naturale. Matthew claims that deodorant, cologne and underwear are highly overrated, and he says that women enjoy his natural "man" scent. While Kate Hudson hasn't complained about the underwear moratorium, she has asked Matt to reconsider his stance against deodorant, especially while the two were on the set of "Fool's Gold."
-
Step 4
Look for McConaughey's trademark beachwear clothing line, J.K. Livin' (Just Keep Livin'), debuting in late 2008. Until Matthew's custom beach line is available, head to your local thrift store or consignment clothing shop and buy up all the shoddy shorts, trunks and t-shirts you can find. Don't plan on wearing those tees for long, though, as Matt is rarely seen with his shirt on (much to the bliss of his female fans).
-
Step 5
Buy yourself an Airstream trailer, get some Astroturf for your front "porch" and rent a spot at a posh trailer park near you. For several years, Matthew has been living the high life in his own rolling abode. Nothing says Hollywood vagabond McConaughey-style like hanging out in your own tenement on wheels (with the likes of Cousin Eddie). It's not all glamour, though. Watch out for the misery of blocked sewage tanks and trailer trash.
