How to save money homeschooling your child

Homeschooling your child seems like it would cost you more money than sending them to public school, but that is far from the truth. Here are some ways in which homeschooling saves you money.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Your child/children will be healthier. Since they are not exposed to all the germs that are abundant in the public schools, they are much less likely to be sick. Therefore you save money on doctor bills and medicine.
Step2
You don't have to send money to school for things like school pictures being taken and classroom supplies like tissue, field trips, etc.
Step3
You can save money on extra-curricular activities such as sports gear. Teach them to play ball at home, or invite their friends over to play with them.

Tips & Warnings

  • For field trips, take your child/children to the park, zoo, or museums. Even going outside in your yard can be a learning time.
  • Try to make your entire day about learning while you are home schooling, but make it interesting.
