I had trouble wiring my car amp, so when i figured it out i wrote this article hope u find it useful.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Amp
  • Earth wire usually black
  • Remote wire usually thin blue
  • Power cable usually thick red
  • Speaker wire
  • Plus head screw driver
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Patience

Step1
First of all disconnected the negative terminal of the car battery to avoid blowing any fuses. Beware some radios might ask for a code afterwards.
Step2
Take the red power cable and attach it to the positive terminal of the battery, make sure the fuse is closest to the battery. Dont connect to the Amp just yet.

Take the black earth wire and attach it to the back of the Amp and then to a clean rust-free metal part on the car body, this could be a metal screw or bolt.

Then attach the speaker wires from the speakers to the back of the Amp.

The RSA cable one red and one white goes from the back of the head unit (cd player) to the amp, this is what will carry the sound.
Step3
Connect the thin blue remote wire to the thin blue one on the back of the head unit (cd player) this wire is whats swithces the amp on and off when u turn ur cd player on or off.

Finally connect the red power cable to the back of the amp make sure all connections are secure and tight.

There you have it an amp installed in less than 1 hour.

Tips & Warnings

  • Dont run the power cable and the RSA cable down the same side of the car or else there will be alot of distortion.
  • Play around with the settings on the back of the Amp to get the perfect sound
  • Becareful when connecting and disconnecting the battery terminals, dont want to risk blowing any fuses or getting a nasty shock
