If you're creative, you can make almost anything with a roll of duct tape. You might be surprised that you can even create a duct tape bowl that will be perfect for storing your extra change, car keys, trinkets, jewelry or other small items. Have some fun and impress all your friends with your duct tape-ability.
Cut eight strips of duct tape. Each strip should be 12 inches in length.
2
Set six of the duct tape strips to the side, and make an X with two of the strips, with the sticky side facing up. Repeat with the remaining strips so you have 4 pairs of X's.
3
Lay one of the X's on a flat surface and lay another X on top but slightly turned so the two pairs of duct tape strips resemble an asterisk. Make another asterisk shape with the remaining two duct tape X's.
4
Stack one asterisk evenly on top of the other asterisk with the sticky sides turned in facing one another.
5
Bring the "arms" of the asterisk in so that they are touching, and use duct tape to circle around the bowl connecting the "arms," starting at the bottom and working towards the top.
6
Trim the edges of the duct tape bowl.
Tips & Warnings
If standard silver duct tape is a little too ordinary for your liking, duct tape is also available in nearly every color of the rainbow, including patriotic red, white and blue; brightly colored neons and pastels.
Don't attempt to eat out of the duct tape bowl or to store food in it. The adhesive in duct tape isn't safe to eat.
