How to Make a Strawberry Martini
If you enjoy the taste of a good martini, you might like this new twist on an old favorite. Strawberries add a sweet flavor to the old favorite, and give it a lovely reddish hue. Strawberry martinis are a refreshing summertime drink. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Sugar
- Fresh, ripe strawberries
- Strawberry syrup
- Strawberry vodka
- Martini glasses
- Wooden spoon
- Shaker
- Ice

Chill the martini glasses by putting them in the freezer. If you prefer, you can also rim them with sugar. To rim a glass for strawberry martinis, slice a very ripe strawberry and rub it around the rim of the martini glass. The rim of the glass should be barely coated with strawberry juice. Dip the glass in a bowl of sugar.

Put a few fresh strawberries in a shaker, and mash them with a wooden spoon.

Put some ice in the shaker and pour in the desired amount of strawberry vodka, a squirt of strawberry syrup and about a teaspoon of sugar, depending on the level of sweetness you prefer.

Shake the strawberry martini until it's well mixed, about 20 seconds.

Pour the strawberry martini into the prepared glasses, garnish each glass with a fresh strawberry, and serve.

Tips & Warnings
Garnish the strawberry martini with a sprig of fresh rosemary for a slightly different flavor and a mouthwatering aroma.
To give the strawberry martini a delicious tang, add a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice or lime juice.
Be sure to select very ripe strawberries. The strawberry martini will be sweeter, and will have a deeper red tint.
