Your bedroom can get cluttered quickly. If you're going to bed at the last minute of the day and crashing, and rushing to leave first thing in the morning, it can be tough to even think of tackling the mess that it's become. Here's a quick rundown of a few things you can do to make your room seem clean without doing a thorough cleaning.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Make your bed when you wake up. You can even just throw a comforter on top of messed up blankets and the room will seem cleaner.
Step2
Pick up clutter that's on the floor. Even a couple of things scattered here and there will make the room feel smaller and look messy.
Step3
Pull the drapes open on the windows or open all of the blinds. This makes the room look larger and brighter.
Step4
Hang any clothes that are laying around the room. Put away any dirty laundry. In a pinch, you can always shove things underneath your bed. Just remember that they're there to put away later.
Step5
Clear off your nightstand and the top of your dresser. Keep the clutter stored away, out of sight. Even organized clutter can make a room feel messy.
Step6
Dust picture frames, nightstands and any other surface. Pay special attention to any electronics you might have in your room, like a television or computer, as they attract quite a bit of dust.
Step7
Vacuum the floor that's showing. No need to move furniture or rugs. What's out of sight can be kept out of mind for now. Just clean what's obvious as you walk into the room.
