How to Focus on School and Not Boys
When surrounded by cute boys, it may be difficult to focus on lectures, lessons and tests. But years from now, you'll wish you'd concentrated on your grades more than your crushes. Learn to put your schoolwork first and the guys a distant second.

1
Concentrate in class so your eyes don't wander toward distracting boys. Read along in your textbook or focus on the board. Ask your teacher if you can switch desks so you're sitting in the front of the class. You'll be less likely to turn around to look at any boys you have crushes on.
-
2
Ignore boys who are trying to pass you notes in class or answer with a quick, "Let's talk at lunch." Be up front and let them know you're thinking of your future and putting school first.

-
3
Vow to complete your homework before logging onto the Internet or checking text messages on your cell phone. Tell your parents to take messages or turn your phone ringer off while you're working.
-
4
Remove photos and posters of favorite celebrities or bands from your room if they distract you when you study. Consider preparing for tests at the library for improved concentration.
-
5
Accept dates and invitations to dances or school events only if they don't conflict with projects or study sessions for important tests. Consider making "study dates," but only if having a guy with you doesn't interfere with your focus.

Tips & Warnings
Don't ignore the boys completely. You can still talk between classes, at lunch and after homework, projects and tests. Socializing is part of the overall school experience.
