How to Do Makeup for School

Many girls dream of going to school looking hotter than ever. It is important that girls learn to wear makeup right. It should be appropriate for their age, for daytime and for a casual school setting. Use the tips below to apply makeup for school.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Skip the foundation. Young girls have a natural healthy glow that is often covered up by heavy base. Use only spot concealer for pimples or under eye darkness, and let the rest of your natural skin shine through. If your skin is not evenly toned, use a tinted moisturizer. The fluorescent lights used in school make heavy foundation look terrible.

  2. Step 2

Use lip gloss. Lipstick makes a person look much older, especially if it is a dark color. Try a tinted lip gloss, but use pink and peachy tones instead of red or wine colors. Use deeper tones only when dressing up.

  3. Step 3

Concentrate on eyelashes. Use mascara and an eyelash curler to begin with; this creates the most natural looking makeup for a school setting. Choose a brown for light complexions, and a brown-black or black for darker complexions.

  4. Step 4

Use a pencil liner for girls over 14. Liquid liner is the most dramatic and should be reserved for evening and dress up times. Choose natural colors for school like browns and blacks, and draw a line right along the upper lashes from the center of the eye to the outside of the eye. Smudge the line with your finger.

  5. Step 5

Choose light colors. Light colors of blush and eye shadow look the most youthful and most appropriate for daytime. Dust a bit of pink toned color on your cheeks and eyelids up to the crease of the eye. You can even use a highlighter on the cheekbones and forehead and nose to brighten your face and add dimension.

on 9/11/2009 Great advice, especially step 1. I rarely wear foundation to school and if I do I always wear powder over it. Girls who wear that to school look like cakey and pore-y
