Hiding notes on a rubber band is a good way to give yourself a reminder of things secretly. Some dishonest people use notes hidden on a rubber band to cheat on tests. However, you should only hide notes on a rubber band in a fun situation.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pick a rubber band. Thick rubber bands can hold more notes than thin rubber bands. Be sure to consider where you will hide the rubber band when you pick the rubber band size.

  2. Step 2

Stretch the rubber band around a flat object such as a ruler. The object should make the rubber band stretch enough to write the notes, but the object should be small enough to carry with you.

  3. Step 3

Write the notes on the rubber band using an ink pen. If the information is secret, use a code that only you know to make the information hard for others to figure out. Use a light colored pen to decrease the chance of others seeing the notes.

  4. Step 4

Take the rubber band off the stretching object. Make sure that the notes look like a solid line around the rubber band.

  5. Step 5

Keep the rubber band and the stretching object in separate places. Remember that people may be able to read the notes by stretching the rubber band using their hands.

  6. Step 6

Carry alcohol prep pads to erase the notes. You should try this ahead of time because it will only work on some rubber bands and some ink.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never write anything on a rubber band that you don't want others to know. Rubber bands can easily break and get lost.
