Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
See your care provider. Sweaty palms may be a sign of a health condition. If there's nothing wrong with you, your care provider will refer you to a dermatologist who may have treatments for you.
Step2
Get Iontophoresis done. Iontophoresis sends small electrical charges through water to your hands and feet that block your sweat glands. A trained professional is the only person who can do this.
Step3
Consider getting Botox injected into your hands to block the sweat glands from producing sweat. Again, a trained professional is the only person who can do this.
Step4
Discuss with your care provider a prescription for oral treatments called Anticholinergics. There are many different drugs but most of them stop the stimulation of your sweat glands.
Step5
Try doing deep breathing if you feel anxious or notice your hands starting to sweat. Take breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth to relax you.
Step6
Think about ways to decrease your anxiety if anxiety is causing your sweaty palms. Consider therapy, antidepressants or a simple meditation technique every day. Talk to your care provider for further information.
