How to Make Slumber Party Gift Bags

Slumber parties are a great way for youngsters to spend time with one another and bond as friends, creating memories that can last a lifetime. Gift bags can set each gathering apart as you change up the items included and make each party seem fresh.

1. Consult with the parents of your guests before choosing any party favors. You want to make sure their parents approve of any gifts that you give your guests.

2. Consider the theme of your slumber party or the interests of the guests when choosing party favors. The favors need to be age appropriate and something they will get excited about.

3. Choose a durable bag to hold your party favors and any souvenirs from the party. Find bags to match your theme or pick a plain bag and let your guests decorate their own bag for a fun activity.

4. Individualize each bag. Your guest will know how much you appreciate them and are excited they are there. It is also easier to tell each bag apart.

5. Include items that create memories. Burn a CD of all the music you will play at the party, and create a custom label. Make matching scrapbook pages and take photos all night to later give out to add to the pages.

6. Add items such as travel size toiletries, sample make-up kits and costume jewelry. You can create a mini spa setting with body scrubs, manicure and pedicure sets and face masks.

7. Gather the gift bags at the end of the night and redistribute the next day as each guest leaves the slumber party. Passing out the unforgotten bags also gives you a chance to tell each guest good-bye as they leave.
