How to Disguise Oneself as a Boy or Girl

It may seem easy in the movies, but disguising yourself as a boy or girl can be much more difficult than you think. Even though you may not want to pass yourself off as the opposite sex for too long a period of time, you can have fun doing this from time to time.

Posing as a Boy

1. Wear your hair short. If you really want to pull off the boy disguise, then chop your hair very short. Otherwise, hide your hair under a baseball cap.
2. Change your wardrobe. Put on a loose t-shirt and jeans. None of the clothes that you wear should show off your figure. You may need to bind your breasts if you're busty.
3. Remove all makeup. If you want to pose as a boy, you have to keep your face natural. Also, get rid of any polish that you have on your nails.
4. Pick up boyish mannerisms. Speak in a deeper tone of voice. Also, hang out with a group of guys to get an idea of the things that they talk about. You may want to brush up on your sports knowledge.

Posing as a Girl

5. Purchase a wig. Unless you have a lot of time to grow your hair long, you should buy a wig as part of your disguise as a girl.
6. Get the right clothes. If you really want to pull off the disguise, carefully choose the outfit that you're going to wear. Unless you have the legs for it, skip the skirts and wear women's jeans or pants. Wear a bra and stuff it if you really want to look like a girl.
7. Shave off your facial hair. Nothing gives away a girl disguise more than facial stubble. Wax off the hair or take the time to get a smooth shave.
8. Buy some jewelry and makeup. You don't need to go overboard with the accessories. Pick up a necklace and maybe a simple pair of earrings. For makeup, you can just put on some lipstick and a little blush.
9. Practice your voice and gestures. Use a higher tone of voice when speaking. Walk and move with grace while in disguise.
