In the technology age, it can be easy to lose the simple magic that the holidays once possessed. If you want to give your kids a blast from the past on holidays, there are several things you can do to get that magic back. 7. Teach your kids that bought isn't always better. When it comes time for Halloween costumes, let your kids get creative and come up with their own costume ideas. An old sheet can become a ghost costume, or a cardboard box can make your child into a dishwasher. The possibilities are endless, and you'll keep from spending $20 on a flimsy costume.
