If you are a budding "gamer" and really enjoy playing online games with others, join an online gaming league. There are several leagues to choose from depending on which games you prefer to play. Many online gaming leagues offer basic league membership for free but do charge a membership fee for upgrades.

1. Try out several different online games to decide which games you like to play the most. If you want to join an online gaming league, be sure the league it offers your game of choice. Many of the more popular sites offer several options for games ranging from casino games to combat games to role playing games.
2. Explore the online gaming league sites to see which site best fits your needs. Several popular sites include My League, Case's Ladder, Ladderstats and Rankmonster. Determine which site offers the games you play and then initiate the registration process.
3. Create an account. Join with a free membership first. Fill out the registration information and activate your free membership. Try out the online gaming league before purchasing any upgrades at a premium price. After you play in the league for a while, determine which upgrades you want or need.
4. Find a tournament and start playing. Once you activate your account, start playing any of the games offered by that particular online gaming league.
