Rodney Mullen revolutionized miniature skateboards or fingerboards. He had a small skateboard made and did tricks with it in the same manner as a full-sized skateboard. The trend caught on, and many tried to emulate the tricks that Rodney Mullen did. If you want to do the same, this eHow can get you started.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a good surface to do your tricks with your fingerboard like Rodney Mullen. The floor or a wide wooden table will suit.

  2. Step 2

Set the fingerboard on the table so that all the wheels are squarely on the table's surface.

  3. Step 3

Put your index finger on the tail end of your fingerboard.

  4. Step 4

Pop up the front of the fingerboard like Rodney Mullen by pushing down sharply on the tail with your pointer finger.

  5. Step 5

Let the fingerboard do a flip over backward about 180 degrees.

  6. Step 6

Catch the fingerboard so it lands on the back of two or three outstretched fingers of your hand. It's best to let your middle, ring, or pinkie fingers be the ones that catch the skateboard.

  7. Step 7

Flip the fingerboard with your index finger so that the board flips another 180 degrees and lands on its wheels on the table.

  8. Step 8

Try flipping the fingerboard with your pinkie after it lands on your fingers when you fingerboard like Rodney Mullen. Instead of letting the fingerboard land on your middle finger, ring finger and pinkie, let it land on your pointer, middle and ring fingers, leaving the pinkie free to do the flipping. Your fingerboard will flip in the other direction, but it's still doable and very Rodney Mullen.

  9. Step 9

Practice doing the fingerboard like Rodney Mullen over and over. It takes time to fingerboard like the master.
