How to Install a TeamSpeak Server on Windows

Playing games online takes on a whole new dimension when you can banter with your friends--or adversaries--online. TeamSpeak Server allows you to have a real conversation with your friends without having to type in messages.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Use your web browser to go to the TeamSpeak download page listed in the Resources section of this article.
Step2
Select the download for your version of Microsoft Windows, and agree to the license agreement. Make sure you select the correct version of Windows, or the server won't install.
Step3
Click on "Run" to begin the installation process.
Step4
Hit "Yes" when asked if you would like to install the software and accept another license agreement.
Step5
Choose a folder where you would like to install TeamSpeak Server. The installation program will recommend a default location. Hit "Next."
Step6
Pick a folder for your shortcuts. The program will also suggest a default location. Click "Next."
Step7
Decide whether you want to install an icon on your desktop by checking the box next to the option to create one. If you don't want to install the icon, unchecked the box. Click "Next."
Step8
Begin the installation process by hitting "Install."
Step9
Read the information on TeamSpeak Server, click "Next" and then either launch the server or just click on "Finish."
Step10
Launch TeamSpeak Server by either selecting it from your Windows Programs menu or clicking on the icon on your desktop. An icon should be displayed on the lower right portion of your screen to indicate it is running.
