A great costume choice for you and your two best friends at Halloween or any costume function is the trio of Ed, Edd and Eddy from the hit TV show. You'll want to be the smartest of the Ed's, so you'll dress as Edd, of course. His outfit isn't complicated, but it can take a little preparation. Make sure you have some lead time before your costume must be ready.

Instructions
1
Wear a pumpkin orange oversized t-shirt. It must be a plain shirt, with short sleeves and without pockets or logos of any kind. If you can't find a shirt in the right color, buy a cheap men's undershirt without pockets. Dye the shirt pumpkin orange to match Edd's outfit and wear it untucked.
2
Don dark purple high-water pants. They must be longer than Capris, but too short to be fashionable long pants. Consider making a pair with a standard sewing pattern if you can't find dark purple pants off the rack. If you don't sew and can't find what you're looking for in stores, you can always buy an oversized pair of cotton khaki pants and dye them dark purple. Cut off the bottom of the legs and hem to the appropriate length.
3
Sport bright red knee high socks. You can find bright red socks in the girls junior size department almost any time of year, particularly around the holiday season. Buy plain socks without logos if you can. If you're male, no one will know they're girls' socks by their appearance. Buy the largest size you can find. Pull them up high enough so no skin shows beneath the hem of your pants.
4
Top off your look with a plain black knit cap. Put it on, then pull a floppy "point" away from your head at the crown.
5
Lace up black athletic shoes to complete the outfit. Edd has small feet, so compact tennis shoes are more appropriate than clunky running shoes if you can find them.
Tips & Warnings
For added effect, suck on an oversized gumball or jawbreaker. Allow it to bulge out your cheek just like Edd does on the television show.
