How to Draw a Spider Web
Drawing a spider web is an excellent way to work on some geometrically based sketching or to just make a cool drawing that produces a nicely detailed final product. Start with a sharpened pencil and a basic memory of spider webs or pictures you've seen.

1
Draw between six and eight straight lines that radiate out from a central point. The distance between the lines can vary. The lines themselves should be roughly straight, but you don't need to make too much effort to draw them flawlessly.
-
2
Start close to the center of the lines (the point where they all meet) and draw curving line connecting two of the lines; the connector should curve or sag towards the central point. Move to the next set of two lines by placing your pen or pencil at the end point of the first curved line you just drew. Continue to draw these curved lines until each set of your initial straight lines has a connecting line between them.

3
Move farther away from the central point and draw another ring of curved lines on the spider web. Try to keep the lines relatively uniform but don't worry about making exact replications of the cross-lines.
-
4
Continue drawing the lines, making them farther apart as they get farther from the center. Also, make the lines slightly thicker as they get farther from the center.
-
5
Add connecting lines to the spider web that connect the spider web to a wall or ceiling. These connecting lines should be thicker and fuzzier than the internal lines of the web.
-
6
Put some detail into the web by drawing a little spider in the corner of the web. You can also make small balls to represent insects that have been trapped in the web. Also, add little drops of dew or water by making small, differently sized circles attached to the web.
