How to Organize a Wedding Planning Notebook

Keeping up with all the details of any size wedding can be difficult. Organize a customized wedding planning notebook for yourself, and avoid that frazzled and confused feeling. You may think you'll remember every little thing without a problem, but if there was ever a time to be obsessive about keeping track of details, this is it. Things You'll Need

• Large notebook binder
• Index dividers with write-on tabs
• Notebook paper
• Large envelopes
• Three-hole punch
• Calendar

Instructions

1. Buy a large binder in a color you love. Most brides choose white for a wedding planning notebook, but you could select one in the color of your bridesmaids' dresses or just your favorite color.

2. Label each index divider. You'll need Wedding Dress, Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, Guest List, Food, Flowers, Music and Ceremony. Other sections for your planning notebook you might need will include Info For Out-Of-Town Guests, Vendors for Rentals and Honeymoon ideas.

3. Put several sheets of notebook paper behind each divider. You will need more than you think! Your wedding planning notebook will grow larger by the day. Use plain notebook paper, or spice it up a bit with sheets in pastels.

4. Punch holes in large envelopes and place one in each section. These envelopes can hold color swatches, business cards and receipts.

5. Add a calendar with all your important dates, such as parties and dress fittings. For each event, also list a contact person and telephone number.

6. Take your wedding planning notebook with you each time you visit the caterer, florist or any other wedding personnel. Long after the wedding, it will be a delightful memory book.
