A cruise is a great way to vacation. Rather than being tied to one destination, you get to experience several fantastic locations without the hassle of traveling to each. If you're a golfer, a cruise is a fantastic way to play on several golf courses around the world.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide which golf courses you want to try most. This will help determine which cruise itinerary best meets your needs.

  2. Step 2

Choose a travel agent carefully. Most travel agencies book cruise vacations, but some specialize in golf packages. Find a travel agent who is familiar with golfing and can point you in the direction of the best courses.

  3. Step 3

Review and compare the on-board golf features. Some cruise lines offer golf lessons, some feature golf simulators, and others even offer a pro shop to pick up those last-minute necessities for a day out on the links.

  4. Step 4

Arrange for the equipment you will need. Check with the cruise line to see whether they rent clubs and other gear, or invest in a special golf bag to protect your clubs during travel.

  5. Step 5

Recruit your friends to cruise with you. Golf is the perfect sport for a group of old friends or colleagues to enjoy together. Adding the fun of cruising to the mix lets the whole family join in.

Tips & Warnings
  • Passports are required for travel outside the U.S. Be sure to allow time to obtain an updated passport when booking your golf cruise.
