Much of the music in the marketplace today, when coupled with your PC, allows all your music to be portable. You can load it into an MP3 player or iPod and take it with you. There are also jukebox programs on your PC to let you listen to your music while you work. Controlling the jukebox lets you change the volume and the order of songs played.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open your jukebox program. There are many available on the Internet from many different software companies. If you try a number of them, you will develop a preference for one or the other particular program. All programs operate pretty much the same and these steps will apply to them all.

  2. Step 2

Set the volume for the output. You find this on the main controls of the program. Some programs also allow you to custom set an equalizer for the output.

  3. Step 3

Build a playlist of the mp3 files that you want to play. The playlist can be merely a few songs or may be a listing of your entire library of songs. Organize this list in the order that you would like to hear your songs played.

  4. Step 4

Select if you would like the playlist played as it is organized or if you would like the jukebox to play songs at random from the playlist. Random play makes the listening experience different each time you use the jukebox.

  5. Step 5

Choose whether you want the jukebox to play continuously or just once through the playlist. Continuous play will loop back to the top of the playlist when it finishes playing all the songs on the list. If the list is extensive, this will be many hours of music.
