Mercenaries mode in Resident Evil 4 is a mini game that you can unlock and play once you have completed the regular version. Choose a character for the Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil 4. The characters you have to choose from are Leon, Ada, Wesker, Hunk and Krauser. Each of the characters has different weapons available to them, so choose carefully.

Pick a level in the Mercenaries Mode. There are four levels to choose from. The levels are Pueblo Village, Castle, Mountainside and Water Island.

Protect yourself from enemies by surrounding yourself with walls on three sides. From the open side, prepare for the enemies. When they arrive, they will come in from the same side and you can attack them with automatic weapons.

Collect the ammunition and healing items that are left by the dead enemies. Exit the fort you made with the three walls and seek out time extenders. This will give you ample time to earn more points.

Play each stage with each character four times each to master the Mercenaries Mode. Upon completion, you will earn the hand cannon. The hand cannon will guarantee one-hit kills every time.
