Solid Capture's software package offers a variety of ways to get web pages, text and images onto your desktop for printing or sending. The Solid Capture technology updates the old "screen print" system to accommodate larger windows, scrolling and other features of web-paged data transfer. Users take advantage of Solid Capture to get a range of sizes for sending files across servers and through email distribution.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Launch your web browser and locate the scrolling document you want to capture.
Step2
Open the Solid Capture application.
Step3
Go to the Solid Capture toolbar and look for the icon for "Scrolling Window" (a window with the word scroll and an arrow). Click on this icon to select the capture scrolling window command.
Step4
Click on the page you want to capture, and watch an icon appear next to the cursor to verify you've selected the scrolling page.
Step5
Choose a "save" command from the menu. You can save your scrolling window as a pdf or to the clipboard for further use.

Tips & Warnings

  • Save in your choice of format. Besides pdfs, Solid Capture supports .bmp and .jpg formats as well as a few others for sending your captures across multiple programs such as MS Paint, MS FrontPage and MS PowerPoint.
  • Use other Solid Capture features like color and text captures to get pinpointed content rather than an entire page or print screen. The tools in the Solid Capture program allow for specific, precise capture of data.
