How to Defeat Megaleg in Super Mario Galaxy

Megaleg is the boss you meet at the end of Bowser Jr.'s Robot Reactor in Super Mario Galaxy. Defeating this three-legged giant is tricky, but you earn a Grand Star when you do. Be careful and move quickly, because Megaleg has a variety of cannons at his disposal. If you need help defeating Megaleg, there are some strategies you can use.

Instructions

1. Run towards Megaleg's feet, which are raised, and wait until they come down. Jump on his feet and climb up his leg until you reach the top, where Bullet Bills wait for you. Watch out for the rotating gears and triple cannons on his leg.

2. Find the cage at the top of Megaleg's head. Look closely at it, because it is actually two cages. The Grand Star is in the small cage that is inside the larger cage.

3. Get one of the Bullet Bills to follow you towards the cage. Duck down right before you get to the cage. The Bullet Bill will not have time to turn around and will break the first cage, which causes a fence to appear.

4. Lure a Bullet Bill again, have it follow you towards the fence and duck down. The Bullet Bill breaks the fence and exposes the small cage. You must be quick because the fence regenerates quickly.

5. Use another Bullet Bill to break the small cage to expose the Grand Star and defeat Megaleg.
