How to Defeat Bowser Jr. in Super Mario Galaxy

At the end of the Kitchen Galaxy, you encounter the boss, Bowser Jr. He fires at you from his ship while you must simultaneously ward off other attackers. If you have tried and failed many times, there are some strategies you can use to defeat him. Once Bowser Jr. is defeated, you earn a Grand Star and enter the Bedroom Galaxy.

Instructions

1. Evade the trio of Bullet Bills Bowser Jr. fires at you from his ship. You can duck down, jump over them, dodge them or go to a lower level to get away from the Bullet Bills.

2. Watch out for Kameks that continuously come at you while you are dodging the Bullet Bills. You need to evade the Kameks and dodge the Bullet Bills at the same time.

3. Bop the Koopa on the deck of the ship, grab their shells and throw them at Bowser Jr.'s ship. After you hit Bowser Jr. with Koopa shells three times, he starts to shoot fireballs in your direction.

4. Dodge the fireballs Bowser Jr. repeatedly shoots at you. Use the same technique you did when evading the Bullet Bills that Bowser Jr. shot at you in the beginning of the battle.

5. Hit Bowser Jr. with two more Koopa shells to beat him. Once Bowser Jr. is defeated, you earn your Grand Star and unlock the Bedroom Galaxy.
