The BOSU balance trainer is a piece of workout equipment that looks like a balance ball on one side and half hard plastic on the other side. The name comes from "both sides utilized," which describes how you can use this piece of equipment ball side up or reversed. Once you have your BOSU balance trainer, BOSU workout videos can help you work on balance, cardio and strengthening your muscles.

Things You'll Need:

  • BOSU trainer
  1. Step 1

Research the many types of BOSU workouts available. Workouts range from an "As Seen on TV" package of cardio and strength videos to individual titles. You'll normally find individual titles with intermediate to advanced level of difficulty. All of the videos use the BOSU trainer to work on your core muscles while also working the rest of your body. You can also use the BOSU trainer like an aerobic step for cardio exercises.

  2. Step 2

Read user reviews. Log onto collagevideo.com (see Resources below). Enter "BOSU" into the search function to find clips of BOSU workout videos. These reviews and previews may help you determine if a workout matches your personal preferences.

  3. Step 3

Determine if your main goal is to burn calories, shape or build muscles, increase your balance or work on sport specific training. All the videos use the BOSU trainer to work on your core muscles while also working the rest of your body. For example, the "Hi-lo Video" is a cardio workout that uses the BOSU like an aerobic step. Toning videos range from focusing on specific areas of the body with several workouts on one video to complete body shaping videos. Sport-specific training videos range from basketball to skiing and help fine tune your body for specific athletic activities.

  4. Step 4

Workout and remember to leave feedback at Collage Video so anyone else looking for BOSU videos can use your experience to help determine if a workout is right for them.
