You are away from your computer and you need to make a note or write a short document. Expand the functionality of your graphing calculator by using it as a text editor as well. All it requires is the download of a text editing program to the graphing calculator, and following these simple instructions.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Personal computer
  • Graphing calculator
  • Text editing program

Step1
Download a text-editing program to a home computer (see Resources) and transfer it to the graphing calculator.
Step2
Access the text editing program on the graphing calculator, once it's installed.
Step3
Go to the text editor menu on the graphing calculator and press the "F10" key to bring up the main menu.
Step4
Press the down arrow key to your choice of text editor functions and hit "Enter." You can create a new file, edit a file that has already been created and perform other functions.
Step5
Input the characters for your document by following the on-screen instructions. Print the document by choosing the "Print" option on the main menu of the text editing program.
