Mouth watering, finger licking golden fried chicken.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One Whole chicken
  • 5 cups of flour
  • 1/3 cup of lawrys seasoning salt.
  • 1/3 cup of garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup of pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • vegatable oil
  1. Step 1

    In a large skillet add vegetable oil(fill 1/3 of the skillet) heat on medium heat. In a large plastic or brown bag add flour, seasoning salt,garlilc powder, salt, and pepper shake well.

  2. Step 2

    Prepare your chicken by cutting into parts and washing well sprinkle raw chicken with a little seasoning salt. Put several chicken parts in bag with flour mixture and shake making sure all pieces are covered with mixture. shake off excess flour before putting in hot oil.

  3. Step 3

    Make sure oil is hot enough before adding chicken. Cook on medium high heat frequently turning as it browns. when the chicken is a golden brown and the sound of cooking quiets this is a sign that it's done. Remove from oil placeing on platter lined with paper towels to catch excess oil. Then it is finger lickin, so good it makes you want to dance, chicken eatting time.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may add more or less ingredients according to taste and volume of chicken. Larger pieces of chicken takes longer to cook reduce heat to medium low to ensure larger pieces are well done. Another way of checking chicken to make sure it is done is to stick it with a fork pulling meat away from the bone to make sure it is done.
  • Remember when cooking with hot oil splattering and poping can occur causing skin burns some may be severe. Wait for at least five minutes to eat chicken after removing from skillet.
