1
Set up cameras and voice recorders in areas that are known for paranormal activity. Try to make sure they are both pointed in the proper direction of the area where the phenomena is reported to appear. Nothing is worse than having something happen just off camera and not be able to verify it visually.
-
2
Contact a psychic or medium who may be able to help guide you through an investigation. She should be able to sense when there is something paranormal present and can tell you when or where to point your cameras or recorders.
-
3
Ask questions and allow several seconds for an answer as your voice recorders run. Some paranormal phenomena are interactive, so you will be able to capture the answers and listen to them later whether you were able to hear them at the time of questioning or not.
-
4
Take several pictures at a time. Being able to compare a series of photos is an excellent way to verify whether what you have captured is actually paranormal or whether it is something easily explained away buy the equipment or the environment.
-
5
Use motion detectors and voice-activated equipment for prolonged investigations. These are especially valuable while trying to capture paranormal phenomena outside.
-
6
Create a welcoming and supportive environment for activity. You don't want to open yourself up to any kind of negative attention, but it has been said that spirits are attracted to those who actually believe in them, and this can be said for many types of paranormal phenomena.
-
7
Take footage at all times of the day. Paranormal events happen all day long, but we're more apt to notice them at night when there's less live activity. As long as you are aware of all of the possible explanations for certain phenomena in the area, go ahead and record continuously to see what happens.
