Make Chocolate Covered Raisins

Make delicious homemade chocolate covered raisins!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 c. raisins
  1. Step 1

Combine chocolate and corn syrup in a double broiler (I have used glass bowls and a microwave before -- your choice).

  2. Step 2

Bring the broiler water to boiling point and then reduce to low heat.

  3. Step 3

Stir constantly, making sure chocolate is melted evenly.

  4. Step 4

Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar, vanilla, raisins. Alternate method includes dipping the raisins (could get messy).

  5. Step 5

Use a teaspoon to drop the mix in small pieces onto wax paper, or place the coated raisins on wax paper as they are dipped, depending on which method you used.

  6. Step 6

    Cool in refrigerator and serve!
