Being an Italian, born and raised in New York City and soon studying and living in Paris, life has always been a catwalk for me. While others may not even think of what to wear when it comes to a quick run to the store, for countless fashionistas and people living in cities defined by their styles, life can be pretty inimitating. Fashion is always top on our minds and wearing stilettos to the flea market or an oxford shirt with that grey tie to the fish market may be the only option. And of course, with such fashion sense, people end up always mistaking you for a model. Endlessly, I have been stopped by people asking if I model and agents asking if I'm represented because of merely how I present myself. So I'm sure, you too would love to have that Je ne sais quoi air floating around you as well. So loe and behold, quick easy steps on how to look like a High Fashion model for both men and women!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Condidence (You gotta believe you are one to look like one in the end.
  • A Stylish wardrobe that's both classic and original.
  • Various pieces from Haute Coutre Desingers.
Step1
Fashion sense is a definite must if you want to truly pull that look that will have people turning your head. And usually EVERY model has a look to them that is unique. Monica Bellucci wears dark colored coats and large glasses. Kate Moss wears skinny jeans. Naomi Campbell wears big BIG boats from Gucci. Angelina Jolie has her Trench and Louis Vuitton bag. Be your own fashion Icon. I adore the Giorgio Armani look and I buy from him, so basically my closet if full of dark colors. My piece of flair is always my scarves that are colorful and always pop out. Make yourself stand out of the crowd as a fashionista, but not too overboard. Being a Fashion victim is worst.
Step2
Perfume is another thing. It trails behind people and always stays on their minds especially when it's good perfume. I love the traditional French scents (Chanel Monsieur, L'Occitan by L'Occitane en Provence, and Le Male) and have always been swooning my female co-workers with my scents. It makes you mysterious and extremely desirable.
Step3
Designer piece. At least a few to sport some of the great Couture designers and if not that then local designers that create unique piece. In Paris, young up and coming designers are almost everywhere and almost EVERYONE sports something from the local ... and they're not even that expensive!
Step4
Don't smile. The French never smile unless they find it nesseary too (Parisians believe this rule more though then the rest of France). Smiling for no reason makes you an idiot in their eyes and being and Italian American, where both cultures teach that smiles are friendly gestures such things can be hard. But models generally follow the no smile rule especially when they go to Paris almost always. Try not to smile often except for friends or important matters.
Step5
Don't look at people in the eyes as you walk or stare to much at people. Be mysterious. Desirable. People will look at you more when you don't look at them and if your habit is staring, invest in some chic designer sunglasses.
Step6
Confidence. Not all models look a like and not all of them are beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Believe you are on top of the world and soon you will see that you are!

Tips & Warnings

  • Be yourself and confidant
  • Don't go overboard
