What to do with transparent dryer sheets that are everywhere? Why don't you use them to make blossoms for a topiary? That is right, those transparent dryer sheets are excellent ways to add a little style to your house. Follow these easy hand sewing steps and you can make any type of creation that you want to add a little class to your home decore on a tight budget.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Quartered Colored used dryer sheets
  • Usual sewing supplies
  • Scissors
  • Patience

Step1
Quarter sheet Cut a colored full used dryer sheet into four quarters. This is the time if you have made magic crayons to try them out in this project by melting the crayon onto the sheet.
Step2
Running stitch Fold the quarter sheet in half length wise and sew a running stitch on the edge of the sheet.
Step3
Gather sheet Gather the colored sheet until one edge is rolling onto itself.
Step4
Form a bud Roll the sheet to form a bud and secure the edges with a knot and a few stitches
Step5
Formed & Fulled Form the bud with fulling the sections with your fingers and you are done!
Step6
Variety of colors Remember there are a great variety of colors and textures that you can chose from to make blossoms all it takes is your imagination. Have fun with it and tray out a lot of them.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make a large quantity of the blossoms and use some fabric glue to glue them onto a Styrofoam ball to form a topiary or a kissing ball for the Holidays.
  • Always keep these items away from any flames to avoid catching them on fire.

on 4/20/2008 I used them as Christmas tree ornaments: half-sheet, gathered in the middle and tied with gold thread, accented with gold beads. They almost look like angel wings.
