Limewire is one of the best free music download programs on the internet. This article will tell you how to easily use it and how to download entire albums, and singles.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Limewire(dead easy to download)
  • itunes
  • internet access
  • 5 minutes
  1. Step 1

Decide on what album or single you want to download. Limewire has thousand of users who upload hundreds on new songs daily so there's usually all the songs you need on the system.

  2. Step 2

Select audio file and type in your search criteria. You only really need to type in the title of the song and the artist, other criteria such as album etc. don't really make that much difference.

  3. Step 3

Download the song that has the most sources( the number in the column before the song title) by clicking it twice or selecting it and hitting download. If your song doesn't have a source number next to it, the chances are that it will not download.

  4. Step 4

Once the song has downloaded a popup will appear informing you that the song has been downloaded. Open up itunes and open the file(ctrl + o) then find the file and double click on it to add it to your itunes.

  5. Step 5

Add album artwork ( right click, more info, artwork, add), then your ready to go!

Tips & Warnings
  • Occasionally the song titles given aren't completely correct but as long as it is has the same basic keywords or song lyrics - you should be ok.
  • limewire has thousands of songs, so don't be put off searching for the newest songs.
  • don't search for more than 5 different things at one time as you will lose the first one you searched for.
  • any files that look suspect probably are so don't download them!
