How to make Middle Eastern Lamb Rub

This guide will make your lamb sing as the grilling season starts up.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • juice small lemon
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspooon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Step1
Combine all ingredients and mix together until it forms a paste. Be sure that there are no lumps or bumps, dragging a slotted spoon back and forth with crush them.
Step2
Place the lamb meat in a cooking dish to coat. Rub this mixture over the surface of the meat making sure to get it evenly distributed.
Step3
Plan on allowing mixture to sit on the meat for 1 hour before you cook. You can place it in the refrigerator in a baking dish to stay fresh before grilling.

  • This tastes great with wild berries and a light salad.
  • Never leave your grill unattended.
