Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- 1 1/2 - 2 pound flank steak
- 2-3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2-3 tsp soy sauce
- Juice of a lemon (fresh is better)
- 1-2 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Glass dish that can hold the steak flat
Step1
Place your steak in the glass dish and add the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice and olive oil. Sprinkle with thyme and turn occasionally so that all of the steak is covered with the marinade. Let your steak marinate on the counter for 30 minutes.
Step2
Remove the steak from the glass dish and place on your broiler tray. Place the marinade in a small sauce pan, we are going to use that later.
Step3
Pre-heat your oven for a minute or two and place the steak in the broiler. Broil the steak on each side for 3-6 minutes, depending on how well done your preference is. 4 minutes on each side will make a steak with just a small amount of pink on the inside. Once your steak is cooked, place it in a serving tray and let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing it.
Step4
Take the marinade sauce that we saved and bring it to a boil. Boil the sauce for a full minute and pour it on to the steak.
Step5
After 10 minutes has passed, cut the steak with a serrated knife into the thinnest strips you can. Enjoy!
