How to make old-fashioned Cole Slaw

Summer is coming, and what could be a better accompaniment for cook outs or picnics than this easy two-step cole slaw?

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise (regular mayo will also work fine)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (16 oz.) bag shredded cole slaw mix
  1. Step 1

    Whisk in medium bowl, vinegar, sugar and celery seed until blended. Add mayonnaise, salt & pepper and whisk until smooth.

  2. Step 2

    Stir in cole slaw mix until evenly coated. Chill until ready to serve.

  3. Step 3

    Stir before serving.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never let any dish containing eggs or mayonnaise to sit out in the heat for long periods of time.
