How to Create a Realm

To create a realm is to imagine a world that does not exist yet until you put your mind to it... Creating a Realm takes a lot of thought-out work to be done but is well worth it!

Things You’ll Need:

• Notebook or Journal
• Markers or Black Sharpie Pen
• loose pieces of Scrap paper
• Images of your world that come from somewhere
• your imagination^^

1. To begin with creating your own realm, look at it as a whole new World you or your Character will be living in! Let's start with a name for your realm, once you get past that step it is smooth sailing^^
2. Now that you have figured out the name of your realm it is time to sit down with a pad of paper and colourful markers to bring out your creative energy and Title the Notebook or Journal with the name of your new realm and start to medatate on your new realm you want to create....
3. Once you get some ideas you are ready to write... Is the realm hot or tropical- then use a red mrker to describe it or is it a cool almost cold environment- then write with blue Marker.... When you can almost visualize what you are writing it is time to add visual images you may choose... The images may come from magazines or the internet or from one of your favourite card gsmes such as Yu-Gi-Oh....
4. This step asks you to really soul search yourself or your character... Begin to write about yourself and how you (or your character) fit in, in this environment... Are you wealthy and come from royalty? Are you a world-renowned martial artist? Just think about yourself or your character and what you wish to be...
5. Look to other sources. Dungeons & Dragons are Masters at creating a realm and they also try to teach you how to create yours... If you are serious about your realm and want to bring your character to life, I suggest you try role playing....

• Bring loose sheets of paper to bed with you every night so you can put down any ideas!
