Running is very popular and always has been. Whether it's running a race, running for exercise, running from the police, or running for fun, running is done in the same way. In this article, you will learn how to run for exercise. You will learn the correct form of running.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Comfortable tennis shoes
  • Comfortable excercise clothes.
  • A nice flat, cement area to run.

Step1
Put on your comfortable tennis shoes and comfortable workout clothes and go outside on nice day. Go to the nice, flat concrete surface.
Step2
If it's your first time running, start out in a slow walk to warm up. You can also stretch out if you want to.
Step3
Start moving your legs quicker than normal. Also, pick the legs up and stride them to get a larger step. When the leg that has been going up and striding reaches the surface, quickly pick up the next leg and repeat this process.
Step4
As one leg is picking up and striding, move the arm opposite of the leg (right arm for left leg) and have it in a right angle. As your leg moves and steps up, move your arm up. Keep your upper body straight up to maximize how much air you can take in. Now you are running!

Tips & Warnings

  • Get a nice comfortable pair of running shoes and socks to increase comfort in your foot.
  • Don't cross your arms when you run.
  • Be careful when running down hills to not trip and sprain your ankle.
  • Be aware of traffic.
