Kazink! is the kind of game where luck plays a large role. If your opponent draws all the crown and wild cards, she's likely going to win. But a few simple strategies can help tilt the odds slightly in your favor.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Kazink! board game
  1. Step 1

Save the big cards. If you're fortunate enough to get a non-suit card in your hand, don't rush to play it. Continue playing your suit cards until you can use your special cards to take over an important space.

  2. Step 2

Make Crowned stacks ASAP. Until one of your stacks is crowned, it could always be taken away from you. Once you have a crowned stack, it's yours for the rest of the game, both waiting to become part of a scoring row and blocking that space from being used in an opponent's row.

  3. Step 3

Use your crowned stacks to the fullest. Once you have a crowned stack, it can serve as the pivot point for multiple rows of 3, letting you get away with 5 crowned stacks for two rows, instead of 6 crowned stacks.

  4. Step 4

Prevent your opponent from doing all of the above. If he is about to get a crowned stack--especially a crowned stack that could help make a scoring row or two--that's the time to drop your big cards and stop it from happening.

  5. Step 5

Watch the open spaces. If there are open spaces of a suit, your pieces on that suit are safe unless your opponent has a special card. However, this works both ways, so if you want to play atop your opponent's pieces, you must first fill up that suit unless you have a special card.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the Double Up card to claim two spaces at once.
  • Even the best strategies can be disrupted if the opponent draws better cards.
