Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- 1 Nonstick vegetable spray
- 1 lb ground turkey breast
- 1 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp Creole seasoning, divided
- ½ dash (14 .5 - oz) no-salt, stewed tomatoes, drained
- ½ tsp minced garlic
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
Step1
Spray cold grill rack with nonstick vegetable spray. Spray even covering all areas and working around until fully coated.
Step2
Prepare charcoal grill for direct-heat cooking. You could use a gas grill but for the flavor to really pop out the charcoal does the best job.
Step3
In medium mixing bowl, combine turkey, Worcestershire sauce and 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning.
Step4
Evenly divided turkey mixture into 4 burgers, approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
Step5
Grill burgers 5 to 6 minutes per side cooking them until 160º F is reached (using meat thermometer) and meat is no longer pink in the middle.
Step6
In a small saucepan or skillet, over medium-high heat, combine tomatoes, remaining Creole seasoning and garlic.
Step7
Cook 5 minutes or until most of liquid has evaporated. Timing is the key here to a good meal.
Step8
To serve, place burger on bottom half of each bun, drizzle 3 tablespoons sauce over burger and top with other half of bun.
