There are several steps one can take to win an argument. It also depends how reasonable an argument is.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Patience
  • Courage
  • Respect
  1. Step 1

First of all tell your parents what the exact situation is. If it is reasonable the parents will understand.

  2. Step 2

If not. Then explain why you think you are right. You should give some good reasons with examples to back up your case.

  3. Step 3

If it does not work, ask your parents to put themselves in your shoes and then think about their decision about you.

Tips & Warnings
  • You should be somewhat independent and not dependent on your parents in case your parents don't want to listen to you and reject your argument.
  • Make sure you discuss your situation when parents are in the best of their mood.

on 12/3/2008 and approach your parents with a reasonable solution. All of us "adults" like kids that bring solutions and not problems. If my daughter has a plan, I'm so much more apt to say yes. :)
