How to relieve sore nipples when breast feeding

A lot of people I knew that tried breast feeding stopped because it hurt so much. I didn't believe them until I had my little one. OMG!!! I wanted to give up the first day, but I was in a new hospital and I guess they had some top of the line stuff. The nurse gave me something that helped me sooooooo much and I will share it with those who don't know.

2. I believe it is lavacove or something, but it is in a light purple case near the breast pads in walmart
3. I know it starts with a "L".
   
   Don't use vasaline. This thing has like an immediate healing power.
