Things You'll Need:
- Deck of cards
- Two or more players
-
Step 1
Deal three cards face down to each player. Each player must line these cards in a horizontal line with space between each card.
-
Step 2
Deal three more cards to each player. Each card must be placed face up directly over each face-down card.
-
Step 3
Now you're ready to play. Each player draws three cards for their hand. Each player announced the lowest card they have and the person with the lowest card places it on the playing surface next to the deck.
-
Step 4
The next player must play the same card or one that is higher. For example, if the first player laid a three, the second player may play a three or higher. Players may play more than one card at a time, but it must be two of the same number. For example, the current player could play two fours at this point.
-
Step 5
This continues around the circle, and every time a player plays, he must replenish his hand so that he has three cards once his turn is over. If a player cannot play a card higher than the current one, she has a few options. She may play a two, which will set the deck back to that number and the next player must play a card higher than a two. She may also play a ten, which will destroy the discard pile (she must move it to the side and those cards cannot be used again in the current game) and then she may play the lowest card in her hand. If she can match the current number with the three other cards of the same number, it will also destroy the pile. If she cannot do any of these things, she must pick up the entire discard pile, at which point her turn is over and when it is her turn again, she must work on getting rid of her large hand.
-
Step 6
Once the pile of unused cards has been used up and a player has played all of his hand, he must play one (or more if he has two or more cards of the same number) of the three cards that is face up in front of him. Once all those cards have been played, it becomes a game of chance as he must select one of the face down cards to play. If he picks the wrong face-down card and it is not greater than the current number, he must pick up the entire discard pile and play it before he may play another of his face-down cards.
-
Step 7
The game is over when a player plays all his cards successfully.
