You can quickly and easily make a needle threader for hand sewing by following these steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One piece of construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Thread
  • Needle
  1. Step 1

Cut a small rectangle from the construction paper. The rectangle should be approximately an inch to inch and a half long and only as wide as your needle can handle.

  2. Step 2

Fold the rectangle in half. This is your needle threader.

  3. Step 3

Place one end of the thread in the needle threader lengthwise. The end of the thread should be resting at the fold of the paper.

  4. Step 4

Pass the folded edge of the needle threader through the eye of the needle.

Tips & Warnings
  • The paper needs to be stiff, but not thick. The folded edge of a greeting card works well too.
  • Made a few needle threaders at once. The moisture and oil from your hands will soften the paper after repeated use.
