How to Make a Needle Threader

You can quickly and easily make a needle threader for hand sewing by following these steps.

Things You'll Need:

• One piece of construction paper
• Scissors
• Thread
• Needle

1. Cut a small rectangle from the construction paper. The rectangle should be approximately an inch to inch and a half long and only as wide as your needle can handle.

2. Fold the rectangle in half. This is your needle threader.

3. Place one end of the thread in the needle threader lengthwise. The end of the thread should be resting at the fold of the paper.

4. Pass the folded edge of the needle threader through the eye of the needle.

Tips & Warnings

• The paper needs to be stiff, but not thick. The folded edge of a greeting card works well too.
• Made a few needle threaders at once. The moisture and oil from your hands will soften the paper after repeated use.
