How to Keep the Love Burning......in small romantic ways! [Part 1]

Tips on small gestures to do for your Sweetie...that will help keep the love flowing over the years.

Things You’ll Need:

• Your imagination, wit and a few things you probably already have around the house. An inexpensive recording device.

1. Tip 1 - Everyone has post-it notes. If you can pick up the heart shaped ones that would be better. To start the beginning of a romantic evening when your Sweetie is just getting home...At the front door post a sign "follow my heart". Then post the hearts on the floor along a path to ....the dining room for a romantic candle lit dinner, the bathroom for a bubblebath with rose petals in the water and candles around the tub, the deck for some wine, cheese & crackers and soft music. From there...your own hearts will lead you elsewhere in your home.
2. Tip 2 - Here's a cute inexpensive unique reminder of your love to your Sweetie of the male species.
   Take one square of toilet paper. [Yes, toilet paper.]
   Also an old piece of cardboard and a fine point "sharpie" type marker.
   
   Place the square of toilet paper on top of the cardboard and Write a love note on the square of toilet paper....something short like "I Love You" or "Thinking of You" or just draw a big heart.
   
   Remember the ink of the marker will spread so don't make the letters too small or too close together or they will run together. Make sure there is nothing else in the toilet such as other tissue, etc.
   
   Very, very gently set the square of toilet paper with your love note on top of the water in the toilet. You may have to try it a few times if you're not gentle enough placing it on top of the water. But, if you place it just right, it will float there until he sees it and will be a reminder to him of your love for him in a cute unique way. Put the toilet lid down so he doesn't see it till he opens it up. Trust me...you will get a great response!
3. PIR announciator. Search online for suppliers. Tip 3 - If you can afford to buy one, check into a PIR announciator. It is a small motion detector device that you can record your voice for 20 seconds. There are similar devices out there if you do some searches.
   
   Use the recorder to set romantic moods, to apologize or just to say I Love You.
   
   How it works...You record your message...then when your Sweetie walks past it your message will play. For example, you record "I missed you today, Sweetie. Glad you're home. Waiting for you in the {insert location]".
   
   Then you place the device inside the front door and when they come home and open the front door, the recording will go off and they will hear your loving message. This could also work if you have a small tape recorder or one of those small recorders they sell now for grocery lists. But it wouldn't have the motion detector advantage. However, you could leave the recorder at an appropriate spot with a heart post-it note that says "push play". Then they would just push "play" to hear your romantic message.
   
   These methods also are a nice way of ending a spat that may have occurred earlier in the day. Leave a message like "I'm sorry Honey for being a pooh-head. I love you. Let's have a great evening." It will change the sour note of the day...to a sweet note.
