Want your omelette's to be fluffy, delicious, and cooked to perfection? Here is your guide. Cooking an omelet is easy.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10-12" nonstick pan
  • Spatula
  • Whisk
  • Bowl
  • 4 eggs
  • Butter
  • Cheese
  • Desired ingredients (meat, veggies)
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Cayenne Pepper
  1. Step 1

Your first step to your perfect omelet is to crack the 4 eggs into a bowl.

  2. Step 2

Add a splash of water to the eggs, and beat with a whisk. You want the white and yolk to blend to a consistent yellow color.

  3. Step 3

Place your pan on high heat, and coat with butter.

  4. Step 4

Next you will add your veggies, meat, seasonings, and any other ingredients you may want (except cheese). Sauté your ingredients until cooked.

  5. Step 5

Pour your eggs into the pan.

  6. Step 6

Watch the eggs. As soon as you get a solid layer of cooked eggs on the bottom, use your spatula to lift it up. Tilt the pan as you do this to let the uncooked eggs run under the layer. Do this often until most of the egg is cooked. This makes a fluffy, but light omelet.

  7. Step 7

Flip the omelet. You can either use the spatula, or flip the omelet by a quick forward, upward and backward movement. This will cause the omelet to somersault backwards and land upside down.

  8. Step 8

The remainder of the egg will cook quickly, so you need to add your cheese to the top of the omelet.

  9. Step 9

Check the underside of the omelet. When it is done, begin to slide the omelet onto a plate. Use the spatula to fold it in half.

  10. Step 10

    Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Use precooked meats to reduce cooking time.
  • Work quickly when you lift the omelet to cook all the egg. This is what makes it fluffy.
  • The high heat can burn unwatched omelets in a flash, so never leave your food. Watch it constantly
