Writing good articles on eHow isn't enough to get you a good paycheck. You need to advertise your articles. There are many, many ways of doing this. With a little investment of your time, you can get many visits to your articles (and boost your earnings!).

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Time

Step1
Write a good QUALITY article worthy of being read.
Step2
Know what keywords are popular or at least imagine your searching for the information that you've written about and boost the text (while keeping a nice flow) with those keywords.
Step3
Keep in mind keywords for what advertisers you'd like to attract to your page. Some pay more than others. Generally, the more competitive the niche, the more the keyword is worth to you.
Step4
Submit to the 'social loving' sites right on each eHow page; Digg, Google, Facebook, etc.
Step5
Go to places that have other social love outlets such as:

** Onlywire - http://www.onlywire.com
** Social Poster - http://www.socialposter.com/
** Propeller - http://www.propeller.com
** Yahoo - http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
** Pingomatic - http://pingomatic.com/ (re-ping every time you update)
** Bookmarking Demon - Not a free one, but AWESOME! This one has made all the difference to me. Great how-to video on their site. http://breeder101.bookdemon.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=G77ZQBWV
** Twitter - http://www.twitter.com
Step6
If you have concentrated niche area(s), try joining some free mailing list discussion groups such as those on yahoogroups.com. Google and Topica also have them. Don't spam the groups but instead, add the link to your article list page on eHow in your signature line (which should be on all your emails anyhow).

Additionally, if an article you wrote directly answers a question someone asks, by all means - tell them! (or even write one specifically for them, great outlet for article ideas *and necessary info*)
Step7
Join Myspace and Facebook and add the links there. I'd recommend adding a spot for them and list them separately for sake of more keywords on what is called web 2.0 properties. (means search engines like them A LOT)
Step8
Join up on some discussion forums found all throughout the internet that are specific to your article niches (areas of interest).
Step9
I sincerely hope you found this article useful. If you did, please take a second to rate it with the stars above. I'll love you forever for the favor.

Tips & Warnings

  • When you join Twitter, add some friends. It won't do you any good to post twitters with nobody out there to read them. By adding friends, you will no doubt get people who add you in return. (just click their pictures and then click the follow button next to their name in the next window) You can even search people based on keyword. (great opportunity to focus on those in your niche)
  • Add me to your Twitter friend list! I'm 'showpup'.
  • Never, ever spam!! It's evil. ;-)
