If you are looking to drop a few pounds and inches but have no intention of busting your butt at the gym and living on lettuce for months, this article is for you. It allows for 5 very minor changes that can really help you shed some serious inches. By replacing BIG calories for little ones and adding a small amount of sneaky exercise into your daily routine you can drop a handful of pounds without even trying.

Things You’ll Need:

  • A willingness to try new things.

Step1
1st change. Replace BIG calorie bread with little calorie bread. Regular sliced white bread usually contains 70-90 calories PER slice. Sliced Wheat is even worse packing 100 BIG calories PER slice. Instead start using Sara Lee's new Delightful white OR wheat bread. Just 45 little calories per slice. So you can have two slices for the calorie equivalent of one slice of regular bread. Taste difference? Absolutely none, if anything Sara Lee's delightful wheat bread tastes better than regular wheat bread.
Step2
Change #2. Swap your regular cheese slices holding a BIG 70-90 calories per slice for Kraft's fat free cheese 30 calorie slices. Taste difference, not one bit of difference. Unless maybe you are a professional cheese taster. Then maybe you would notice a difference.
Step3
Change #3. Skip the super fattening 100 calories a tablespoon Mayonnaise, and use Kraft's fat free Mayo instead. With just 10 calories per tablespoon thats a 90 calorie BIG difference. As to the taste, I will admit you may notice a difference at first. However, if you don't think about it too much I promise it goes away and you soon forget that there is a difference. It's a very subtle difference anyhow.
Step4
Change #4. Ice cream, Ice cream, how we love the little devil. Skip the ice cream from here on out. Packing in 250-300 BIG BIG calories PER SCOOP! You would be much better off to indulge in the Original Fudgesicle at just 40 little calories per pop. They are sugar free and taste just like Fudge Ice cream. For sorbet lover's you are not safe either. At 120 calories per scoop you could save yourself a bundle of calories by switching your sorbet for fruit and creme flavored freezer pops. At just 20 calories a pop, you can't quench that ice cream craving any healthier. For those who want to splurge without really splurging, go with Original Pudding pops in vanilla, chocolate, and mixed flavors. Just 90 calories a pop and you might as well be eating a bowl of real ice cream for all your taste buds will know.
Step5
Change #5. The sneaky exercise. For anyone that hates exercise sneaky is the way to go. Instead of hopping around breaking a sweat, work smart not hard. Next time the laundry is done drying take each piece out individually and fold it/hang it up and put it away one item at a time. This can take 20-30 minutes, but it's easy exercise. Any time you need to carry more than one item to another room, use the same method. Make as many trips out of one trip as you can. Carrying a pen and paper pad? Take the paper first, come back for the pen. Next time you have housework to do, close the shades turn up your fave tunes and dance the house clean. Ladies think "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" when the oldest girl is dancing with her mop in the kitchen. Guy's Think "Risky Business" with the broom and trash.
Step6
If your stuck at a desk or computer all day spend your day perfecting the art of fidgeting. Seriously, studies have shown people that fidget burn up to 350 more calories a day than those who don't. So wiggle your bottom and tap your feet away......all in your chair.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never try to eat very little food to lose weight, instead find lower calorie options for the same amount of food.
  • Cutting down to strict diets only slows your metabolism, and can permanently trap you into the "crappy diet cycle world" as I like to call it.
  • Men....please don't take the trash out in your underwear, unless you actually are Tom Cruise.
