How to Set Up Windows Firewall
A firewall can help to protect your computer from malicious software and intruders by monitoring all incoming data and connections. The firewall blocks any unauthorized attempt to connect to your computer from the Internet or your local network. Although you can purchase a firewall program to protect your computer, you can save money by enabling the Windows built-in firewall utility called Windows Firewall. You can access the Windows Firewall utility through the Control Panel.
